Bluetooth speakers?
|
Been doing a bit of research on bluetooth speakers but getting mixed reviews. Anyone got some that they highly recommend? Don't really want to spend more than a couple of hundred, cheers in advance

For the best quality, make sure both the sending device and the receiving device are compatible with the 'APTX' codec. Its a recent development, so is only available on new kit.

I've got a Jawbone and recently bought an Ultimate Ears Boom Teal Gradient for my brother.
I'd recommend either.
Both are very loud The 15 hour battery life on the Jawbone gives plenty of play time (I haven't tested this on the Teal) Both are very easy to use from an iPod/Pad.
The Teal also has the advantage of connecting to another speaker.
I also have a Bowers and Wilkins airplay speaker but I tend to use the Jawbone more as it's more convenient to move from room to room.
All in all, a good value purchase.

UE Boom is excellent. Kept it in me pocket for a recent Jolly Boys outing and it served us well for the end of day sing song. Loud and clear!

What he said. I take mine on holiday with me all the time and I think they've won quite a few awards.
Bare in mind that the absolute best sound you'll get will come from a wired connection but I can't notice a difference with my untrained ears.

Just got the UE Boom for xmas. Very portable, durable and a good sound no matter which way it's facing. It doesn't get as loud as I'd like but I'd still recommend it.

If you just want something cheap then we had this on holiday this year round the pool:
http://www.menkind.co.uk/boom-box-touch-speaker
Sounded pretty decent on dance and indie music and doesn't rinse your phone battery by having to have bluetooth on.
They do a double one for £39.99.
